Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) – Standard
Identifies the status of an individual's driver's license, license type, endorsements, restrictions, driving violations, and suspensions. Results are available within three to 24 hours.
Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) – Express
Provides all of the same information as a standard MVR, but speeds the response time from the state. Real-time, immediate response reporting for driving records is available from 45 states.
Driver Violation Alert
Driver Violation Alert (DVA) is a monthly monitoring service that returns MVRs for drivers with changes to their driving record. DVA can greatly reduce the administrative time associated with ordering and reviewing driving records and DVA provides faster notification to the employer, eliminating surprises discovered with the annual review. Early detection of undesirable driver behavior will allow employers to take corrective actions or offer safety training that can reduce the risk of future accident involvement.
DAC Employment History File
Industry-exclusive database containing employment histories and accident details on terminated drivers for over 3,000 motor carriers across the country. Participating members can access the file, which currently contains over 6 million records and grows daily. DAC Employment History File reports are accepted by the DOT to satisfy Section 391.23(c) of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR).
Employment Verifications
When one or more of a driver’s previous employers does not participate in the DAC Employment History File, manual requests must be sent to those employers to complete the required three-year employment history. A HireRight specialist will contact the driver’s previous employer to confirm employment dates, positions held and rehire status. This confirms previous employment claims to help ensure desirable experience, or reveals discrepancies in provided information.
CDL Drug & Alcohol Database Search
Industry-exclusive database containing over 3.5 million drug and alcohol histories with termination record submissions and pre-employment drug test results on terminated drivers for over 3,000 motor carriers across the country.
CDLIS+
Fulfills FMCSA requirements by searching not only the CDLIS database, but also HireRight's proprietary Multiple License Pointer File, which contains information from previous MVR searches. This value-added service reports any additional licenses found that did not show up in the CDLIS search.
Widescreen National Criminal Search
Searches HireRight’s proprietary database containing more than 340 million criminal records, then conducts a fresh county criminal record search on all “hits.” “Clear” results are returned instantly.
County Criminal History Search
Direct search of county courthouses based on an applicant's previous residencies. A county courthouse is the best source for the most recent information on a case, as U.S. counties keep records on all aspects of trials and their dispositions.
State Criminal History Search
Statewide criminal records search from more than three-quarters of the states in the U.S. Many states store county information in a statewide criminal file repository or offer statewide searches. If an applicant has moved often, this can be an inexpensive and efficient way to check multiple county jurisdictions within a single state.
SSN Check
Validates four distinct aspects of a social security number: state of SSN issuance; year of issuance; that the number is not in the SSA deceased file; and that the number is in a valid range.
DOT Drug & Alcohol Verification
HireRight will contact the applicant's previous employer and conduct a telephone interview to verify whether the applicant had any DOT drug and alcohol violations during the past three years.
